The Duke Energy and Climate Club is an undergraduate pre-professional organization that empowers students to fuel the energy transition through careers in renewable energy, climate technology, and climate solutions. Through our core values of education and opportunity, we are the epicenter of energy and climate programming at Duke through project teams, speaker events, site visits, and much more.
DUECC works closely with the rest of Duke's unique and supportive energy and climate communities through shared events, projects, and resources. Partners include Duke's Nicholas Institute, Energy Week at Duke, and the Graduate School Energy and Climate Clubs.
Each semester, we collaborate with companies and organizations in the energy, climate, and sustainability fields to offer pro-bono consulting projects for students. Through these projects, we connect students with industry professionals, helping students build real-world skills while also delivering results for our partners.
Membership application cycles open twice a year at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters. Complete our Onboarding Program for official membership and unlock access to our newsletters, programs, and events. Students of all backgrounds, experience levels, and interests are welcome!
